I wouldn’t want to go out every day. Instead, I’d grab anything and everything and stock up and over the days that follow, make do with what we have in the house. At a time like this, we do not have much choice – just do the best we can.

I love that many of my local food suppliers and restaurants are thinking of new ways of working to still provide what they have on offer. Restaurants are providing take away services and home delivery. One of our local butchers is selling the produce such as eggs, bread and cheese from traders that have had to close up their shops.

Our regular butcher (just outside town) is continuing its service by providing home deliveries. The order is dropped off on the doorstep for payment later over the phone.

Oh? Is he from Lawas? I bought rice from Bario, didn’t know Lawas has rice too when I went to the farmers’ market in Miri. Could have looked for it there.

Flour and TP. All the bakeries here are closed and they were not at the start of the lockdown I think it is b/c they can not get flour. We found bread in the market but this may be a problem in the future. This sounds like a great service!!
