Sip Wine Bar, Seminyak, Bali, Indonesia

Yes there is an extraordinarily well chosen and organised wine menu at Sip.  Service is good.  Food is quality.  But I’m not convinced that the prices are justified for what you get.  If you have money to burn this is the best spot in Bali to drink wine in the right glass at the right temperature. The carefully chosen wine list by one of the most famous somelliers in the world can’t be argued with.  The French chef also has a reputation for fine food.  The busy street location and tiny squeeze in tables perhaps take away from potential ambience.  They do have one of the most thoughtful, high tech bathrooms in Seminyak though – so don’t miss a visit to the loo.  I repeat, if you have the money or the credit and are serious about your wine, don’t miss Sip.  If you’re humbly watching your dollars you might be better off buying an Air Asia plane ticket to Australia and picking up a case of delicious vino for the same price you’ll pay for dinner and wine here.
