Our recent visit to Angsana Spa at Angsana Teluk Bahang impressed us with their exceptional service quality, courtesy of their highly skilled therapists, relaxing environment and premium products.

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly at the reception, where we exchanged our shoes for slippers and enjoyed a refreshing glass of apple juice while filling out a questionnaire. The spa’s ambience, vibrant yet soothing, immediately set the tone for relaxation. 

The treatment rooms, whether for individuals or couples, are well-appointed with amenities such as a cosy couch, toilet, shower, bathtub, locker, and a small outdoor balcony offering picturesque sea views. Guests can adjust the lighting according to their preference by drawing blackout curtains for a more intimate setting or allowing natural light to filter in.

Soft background music played gently, enhancing the overall tranquil atmosphere. Each session commences with a feet cleansing ritual using a warm, wet towel, followed by the presentation of chilled apple juice and a cold, scented towel.

Massage beds are comfortable, complemented by premium-quality products that provide a luxurious experience. From sleek mesh underwear to precise pre- and post-treatment rituals, such as breathing exercises and the sound of Tibetan singing bowls, every detail is meticulously designed to ensure the utmost comfort and relaxation. 

Jenny and Afiqah, our therapists, provided exceptional care. They were highly attuned to our comfort, frequently inquiring about temperature, music choices, and preferred pressure. Additionally, they offered thoughtful touches like placing cushions for lower back support.

Body Polishes

The Seaside Delight Body Polish (RM 195, 30 minutes) left our skin radiant and refreshed. This gentle scrub, crafted from natural ingredients, exfoliated the skin and left behind a lingering scent reminiscent of the tropical seaside.

Body Conditioners

I also indulged in the Avocado Smoothie Body Conditioner (RM 95, 30 minutes), which is suitable for all skin types. This milky blend of avocado, rice flour, yoghurt, milk, and honey effectively softens and hydrates the skin. Hubby chose the Mud Mask (RM 95, 30 minutes), which is ideal for normal to oily skin. It is said to detoxify and nourish, leaving the skin feeling revitalised. It’s highly compatible with the preceding body scrub that exfoliated dead skin cells and opened pores, reading them to accept the benefits of the conditioner.

Massages

This deep-tissue Javanese Massage (60 minutes, RM 405) at Angsana Spa at Angsana Teluk Bahang, inspired by ancient Balinese techniques, targets tension and promotes restful sleep. “Harmony” massage oil complements the experience, creating a sense of balance just like music soothes the soul.

Both hubby and I agreed that our therapists delivered one of the best massages we’ve ever had. Using heels of hands, thumbs, and knuckles, they skillfully applied pressure to all the right places, maintaining constant contact throughout the session, a testament to their expertise.

Facial

The Splendid Soother Facial (RM 385, 60 minutes) utilises a light skin-like collagen sheet mask infused with nourishing ingredients to soothe and moisturise the skin. Suitable for sensitive skin conditions and red sun-damaged skin, this treatment leaves the skin feeling calm and rejuvenated. Once again, our therapists proved their weight in gold with their quality of service and skill. We were not unattended for a moment. While masks and products were left to do their work, our therapists worked on our heads, necks and shoulders, lulling us into a super relaxed state (or even asleep).

For those looking to indulge further, Angsana Spa offers enticing packages and deals, such as a 60-minute massage combined with afternoon tea for two at No. 11 restaurant, priced at RM 788. Additionally, guests can enjoy a relaxing 60-minute body massage at a special rate of MYR 298 nett (NP: MYR 405) from Monday to Thursday.

Our experience at Angsana Spa at Angsana Teluk Bahang was nothing short of exceptional. Every aspect of our visit exceeded our expectations, from the serene ambience to the skilled therapists and luxurious treatments. We left feeling thoroughly relaxed and rejuvenated, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and a wonderful option to escape the mid-afternoon tropical heat.
