Just down from the main beach strip of Pantai Cenang, L’Osteria serves simple fresh Italian food in a relaxed atmosphere. An open indoor outdoor setting sees many customers taking advantage of the warm evenings by savoring a hearty meal under the star studded sky. Pictured above are: a perfectly cooked oyster pasta of the day aglio olio style; flaky moist seabass fillets with semi-dried tomatoes, diced zucchini and wedges; and a light crispy wood fired pizza with turkey ham, mushrooms and artichokes. A small but sufficient wine list and duty free prices means enjoying a drop of wine with your meal won’t break the bank either. The pinot grigio and rose house wines we tried were light but full flavoured, and drinkable on their own or matched nicely with food. Judging by the crowd on our five visits to the island over the last few years, L’Osteria appears to be a consistent hit for locals and tourists alike.

Oyster pasta….
Sounds already so tempting….
Great combo! 🙂
YUm Yumm… there are a lot of good food in Langkawi.. I remember going to a Thai restaurant which requires me to walk 500km before reaching the dining area.
Yes, I had plans on visiting the Thai place your writing of… you had to walk on a path through the mangroves to get to it. Apparently it has closed though.
I'm so glad that the pizza is turkey ham instead of the real ham… I would order it! I can finish a whole pizza when I'm pretty hungry! I actually have a couple of times! ahaha
And, dang it! that pasta is very yummy looking. I love oysters!! My faves!
Turkey ham and artichokes – can't go wrong. You have quite the appetite I see Rad!
Oyster pasta – that's a first for me! Looks good. 🙂
Surprisingly, considering the number of oysters and pasta dishes I've eaten in my life, this was my first time combined.
You had me at oyster pasta. 😀
🙂 Oh yes, surprisingly great combo.
ooo, i guess it's a bit of a coincidence, since i've only been to langkawi a few times and there are so many restaurants there, but i've eaten here before too! my memories are hazy now, but i remember it's exactly the way you described: very chilled-out setting, with good food & decent wine! ahhh, the island life. so nice 😀
Agreed – the island life so nice – only made better with the duty free liquor 🙂
saw this place last Oct but never tried it. this will be on my list when i visit later this year.
oyster, aglio oli and pasta…dream come true for me. simple but certainly yummy food.
They recently opened up a sister restaurant too, The Brasserie, that is right on the beach.
