Kuppa Deli by Thailand correspondent, Elizabeth Kendle
Hearty Soups
I’ve mentioned before how much I love my coffee. So my favourite place for coffee in Bangkok has to be at Kuppa. There is also a deli now and I have no preference to the venue or ambience because coffee and cake at either Kuppa restaurant or Deli is so good, that I’m not one to be fussed. However, for dinner or a date, Kuppa restaurant would be fitting. If you are missing lemon meringue pie, Aussie style or something pavlova.. then this is the place to go to. There’s quiches and gourmet sandwiches as well as main dishes such as pastas and meat dishes to choose from. Pictured here was a delightful soup of the day; pea and ham soup, barbie not included. A mandarin duck salad with figs and pecans; grilled sirloin steak and grilled chicken with sticky rice; a pesto pizza with ham and sun dried tomatoes and rock melon parma ham to start; which went down nicely with a Yarra Valley Pinot Noir. For dessert; french press coffee. I normally have the Kuppa blend and best friend had the guatemala. Pavlova with mango and a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. Another visit to the deli was again grilled chicken with sticky rice and papaya salad and a quiche lorraine. As you can see from the display, there’s so much to choose from, you have to see and select for yourself.
I have been going to Kuppa since it opened and I was living around the corner, one of my favourite places to eat in BKK and the staff are always friendly. Always hoped they would open a branch here
Oooo…the dessert!!! I like!!!
You're really making full use of your school holidays… you've been visiting so many places. ;P
Nice healthy options !
looks like the best sort of deli! the sort that we kinda lack in KL (for now, heh!) 😀
like Sean said, we need these delis in KL…
the idea of serving some sticky rice with the steak is a nice Thai touch to it.
oh! french press coffee! i love pavlova very much, but got to watch my sugar intake.
I absolutely love it
