  1. I'm a teetotaler… 🙁

  2. after a full-blown wine tasting, i don't think i'd be able to conduct an interview like this (i tend to NOT spit out any of the wine i taste) 😀 lots of informative nuggets in this interview; i'm gonna have to remember to test a sauvignon blanc with goat cheese sometime soon =)

  3. Interesting interview. The Sauvignon Blanc however has so many different flavours in freshness that it is diffcult to just match it based on the grape en region. As an example the Sancerre reffered to by the sommelier would be totally different than the Sauvignon Blanc from Chili.

A question, how open and popular is wine consumption in Malaysian restaurants? I was in the UAE last year and wine was not so frequently served because of the religian. It was also very expensive. How is this in Malaysia?

    Greetings,
    Filip

    • Hi Filip,
Malaysia is relatively new to wine. It's great to see classes like these though popping up around the city giving people a little insight into the big (intimidating for many) world of wine. Taxes are extremely high here too on liquor. Wine is very overpriced making it not affordable for the average Malaysian to enjoy regularly.
Happy travels Filip! See you some time soon in Malaysia.
      🙂

  4. very interesting indeed! 🙂 i tend to make a lot of salads and bruschetta, i'll get one nice sauvignon blanc and see how the pairing goes! 🙂
