When Monica suggested our next dining spot would be Fuego at Troika Sky Dining, I didn’t hesitate for a second. Instant first thoughts for most—the breathtaking KL city view with the iconic KLCC twin towers, of course! And while the view is stunning, it’s the atmosphere that truly captures my heart. The seamless background music is so immersive it feels like a live band serenading you. Combined with the team’s warm hospitality and exceptional cuisine, Fuego delivers a vibe as unforgettable as its iconic skyline backdrop.

I heard the restaurant had undergone a facelift, enhancing its expansive balcony. The revamped space now features an entire row of bar seating, perfect for soaking in the atmosphere, along with a cozy new deck tucked in the corner. This intimate nook is adorned with vibrant upholstered sofas, bright cushions, and colourful metal cactus sculptures surrounding the premise, which add a playful yet chic touch.
We were fortunate to meet the founder and executive chef, Christian Bauer, who shared his heartfelt approach to hospitality: “Profits are never the main goal. When you share fun and good food with people, they’ll keep returning – and that’s how a business thrives.”
Cocktail Menu & Prices
A Latin American dining experience wouldn’t be complete without bold, flavourful cocktails, and Fuego delivers in spades. As part of their festive December menu, we had the privilege of sampling two exciting new creations. First up was the Moon Kiss (RM55++), where the smoky richness of mezcal took centre stage, beautifully complemented by the tangy complexity of homemade salted grapefruit. Then came the Tequilapeño (RM48++), Mon’s instant favourite, offering a delightful kick from spicy jalapeños balanced by the tangy sweetness of tamarind.
The ever-charming restaurant manager, Syafiq, graciously reintroduced us to Fuego’s iconic classics. The Fuego Pisco Sour (RM54++) was as refreshingly zesty as we remembered, while the Marimbar Summer (RM54++) with Bacardi Carta Negra delivered a sweet aftertaste thanks to the salted vanilla pineapple syrup. But don’t be deceived by their pretty appearances; these cocktails pack a serious punch!
For those steering clear of alcohol, Fuego has you covered with fun mocktails like the Pura Vida (RM26++) and Life’s a Peach (RM26++), proving that a memorable drink doesn’t have to include spirits.

Anyone who visits Fuego knows that ordering the guacamole is a must. Alongside the classic meatless Fuego Guacamole (RM38++), we tried their newest creation, the Smoked Duck Guacamole (RM40++). With tender smoked duck and caramelised pineapple cubes folded into a creamy avocado base, be sure to enjoy this with their signature crispy vegetable chips for dipping.
And, of course, we couldn’t miss the refreshing Fuego Ceviche (RM36++). This dish features chunky barramundi with coconut tiger’s milk, shish gremolata, vinegar-soaked green lentils, and toasted coconut shavings, all cleverly presented in a coconut husk.
No one does a Grilled Watermelon (RM42++) quite like Fuego! The watermelon is slightly charred on its edges and served with pickled tomatoes, fried halloumi, and a tangy raspberry vinegar glaze that ties it all together. Having had this years ago, it’s just as juicy and satisfying as I remember.
The Elote, Fresh Corn on the Cob (RM30++), looked nothing short of majestic. Its sweet, juicy kernels are grilled to perfection by Fuego’s signature “fire” and topped with shaved pecorino cheese, paprika, and jalapeño cream for a creamy, flavourful bite.
Fuego’s Spinach Hashbrown (RM31++) is a “pancake” made from crispy shredded potatoes, offering a perfect crunch on the outside with a moist interior. Topped with a dollop of creamy sour cream and fresh baby spinach leaves, this simple dish never disappoints and is a personal must-order every time I visit.
Another exciting new addition to the menu is the Beef Short Rib Feijoada (RM68++), a hearty dish introduced by Head Chef Gan Jie Hen, who has been with Fuego since its inception in 2014. It features a tender cut of premium short rib, stewed to perfection with feijoada black beans, salsa criolla, and roasted tomato, all served sizzling on a hot cast iron plate.
A Brazilian classic, the Seafood Moqueca (RM160++) features tender snapper, succulent brown clams, and juicy tiger prawns, all simmered in a rich, aromatic broth. The stuffed habanero adds just the right kick of spice, while the Brazilian rice on the side serves as a perfect base to soak up every delicious drop of the broth.
Most people can’t resist Fuego’s iconic Churros (RM35++), and for good reason – crisp, fluffy dough fried to perfection and served hot, paired sinfully with homemade dulcey cremeux and salted caramel espuma. But here’s a tip: next time, save room for their Berries Pavlova (RM35++). This stunning dessert features a pavlova dome filled with yoghurt sorbet and macerated berries, crowned with Chantilly cream and finished with a dramatic flambéed brandy pour.
