There’s an unspoken luxury in staying put, especially when resort dining is on par with the destination’s finest. At Veranda Resort Phuket, The Parlour offers an elegant reprieve from the chaotic quest for good food beyond the property’s gates. Why waste time navigating crowded streets and unpredictable dining experiences when a well-executed meal awaits within arm’s reach? Quality resort dining doesn’t just satisfy the palate—it extends the holiday itself, letting relaxation take precedence over logistics.

The Parlour Phuket

The Parlour balances contemporary style with a lived-in warmth, making it easy to linger. Arched wooden-framed windows subtly divide spaces while maintaining an airy atmosphere. Plush seating, striped cushions, and vibrant orange accents strike a welcoming contrast against the neutral-toned walls. Small potted plants lend a natural touch, ensuring the environment remains inviting rather than sterile. Even the recessed lighting and discreet signage are thoughtfully integrated, reinforcing the idea that aesthetics and function can coexist. And, of course, the coveted views of Ao Yon Bay serve as an ever-present reminder that this is no ordinary lunch spot.

A Menu Rooted in Freshness

The Parlour’s menu is a measured blend of international influences and Thai culinary tradition, executed with an emphasis on fresh, locally sourced ingredients where possible. There’s no overzealous fusion here—just well-considered flavours that respect their origins while offering a contemporary edge.

Lunch Menu at The Parlour

Taking the morning flight from Kuala Lumpur, we arrive at Veranda Resort Phuket just in time for lunch. Checked in and luggage taken care of, we’re ready to begin our short getaway with a tasty entrance. Pool and sea views certainly help us get into the mood, as do the smiling staff and their warm welcome.

Salad

We start with a light and healthy option, the Homemade Smoked Salmon (THB 580). Its vibrant pink contrasts organic salad leaves, shallots, avocado, and a lime vinaigrette that sharpens rather than overwhelms. It’s a quietly confident start.

Soup

Our second course, Spinach Soup (THB 450)—a simple yet refined choice- is velvety, earthy, and clean; it’s a reminder that great ingredients need little embellishment.

Main

Sticking with our pescatarian theme, we choose Norwegian Salmon Steak (THB 750) as the main. It’s been pot-baked in white wine and is accompanied by sautéed spinach, broccoli, and a creamy dill-caper sauce. The recipe embodies what resort dining should be—indulgent without excess, nourishing without compromise.

Dessert

We conclude with the best of intentions with a Fresh Seasonal Fruit Platter (THB 200). We’re well aware that as the vacation spirit sets in, our decisions may not always be as virtuous. So, this respects the setting – light and refreshing – and at least sets us up for a guilt-free start to the weekend on an island known for indulgence.

The Parlour Review

Too often, resort dining is dismissed as a fallback option rather than a deliberate choice. When executed with care, however, it becomes an extension of the holiday itself—unrushed, effortless, and refined. The Parlour understands this well, delivering meals that enhance rather than interrupt the day.

A lunch here is time reclaimed. It’s a moment spent appreciating flavours rather than maps, a chance to indulge without the stress of decision fatigue. Dining well within the resort’s walls means more time for lingering, taking in views, and continuing the experience rather than breaking it up. And isn’t that the essence of a truly luxurious getaway?

Reasons to visit The Parlour: a good meal without leaving the resort; pretty views over the pool and out to the sea; fresh produce; lovely staff.
