Order three things from the tandoori man – chicken tandoori, butter or garlic naan and spinach dip. With a narrow focus and lots of experience (at least 8 years that I’ve known this place) this guy has perfected the art of preparing succulent chicken and fluffy naan. Watch the talented cook twirl the meat skewers and with quick precision place the the bread dough on the inside of the oven without singeing a hair. Everything is made freshly on the spot and worth the wait (and wait you will so be prepared). The tandoori man is located across from Ampang Point near 1 Ampang Ave. You can see the stall from Jalan Ampang but you have to go through the traffic lights as if turning into 1 Ampang (also known as Little Korea), and then go all the way around the block (straight through the lights, right, right, right) and you’ll see a bunch of stalls on your left with Ampang Point in front of you across the road.

Must try this. Current favorite is on Jalan Law Yew Swee (next to Idaman Aprtments). Fabulous Chick Tand, butter naan, three x dip. Might be the same guy for all I know. Service from 1200 til1500 daily. Great for a city centre lunch break. The place is called 'the Black and White Kopitiam. Try it.
