Samuel’s Gorge should be on your detour list for any visit to McClaren Vale. Only producing red wines this boutique winery makes some of the best we’ve tasted – and as you know, we ‘taste’ a lot, so that’s no light statement. Justin McNamee and team are behind the beauties and their Icon Wines – blends of Grenache, Mourvedre and Shiraz, and Tempranillo and Grenache – are some of the finest in the region. I fell in love however with the juicy mouthful of fruit found in the smooth, palate enchanting Shiraz. Wines, views, rustic set up and some great characters all make Samuel’s Gorge a “must visit” in South Australia.

Gosh!!! What an enchanting place! It's like something from a storybook. Would be so nice to stay there. I certainly would blend in so well with all the antiques. LOL!!! 😀
this is 7th heaven 🙂
Wonderful! I love the stairs in your first photo!
Those house made sausages are begging to be eaten 😀
house-made sausages with boutique wines … that's a combination that would make my week! 😀
How embarassing! I'm a loud, proud South Aussie, and I've NEVER BEEN THERE!!! I'll put it on my list straight away!
