First Course – Love at First Bite

Zenzero KL’s Valentine’s Dinner Bento Box (RM 240) begins with Citrus Fruit-cured Norwegian Salmon. The acidity of the fruit complements the fish wonderfully. Served alongside a potato and chive pancake, and pomelo and pomegranate salad, it’s a refreshing first plate.

Second Course – Amore

Inspired by the Shakespearean tragedy set in Verona, Romeo & Juliet Linguine is both elegant and beguiling. Unlike the protagonists, this love story is not doomed and weathers a rather happy ending. Combined with beetroot pesto, tiger prawns, roasted pine nuts and dehydrated root vegetables, it’s a dance of passion on the tongue.

Third Course – Spring of Love

Customers may choose between fish or steak for the main course. The first, Baked Red Mullet Sandwich (where the fish is the “bread”), is filled with spiny lobster and porcini mushrooms. Kale, spinach chlorophyll emulsion, grey mullet bottarga and lemon zest certainly add some spice to this romance.

The second, Roasted Black Angus Strip Loin, is cooked with minimal seasoning, allowing the cut’s quality to shine. For those though, who like things a bit saucy, there’s a fabulous red wine and liquidize reduction on the side. Potatoes au gratin and two vibrant and tender sprigs of green asparagus complete the meal.

Fourth Course – Sweet Surrender

The love affair concludes with Strawberry Cheesecake. There’s an abundance of berries between the biscuit-crumb base and smooth, sweet layers of cheese. It’s sided with strawberry fields salad and a shot of limoncello. Saluti!
