How did you get into the industry?

I wanted a much healthier life. That’s why I turned to yoga as a stress-reliever practice. The rest is history!

What’s a food memory from your childhood or travels that stands out?

I started travelling very late, around 18, because I was afraid to fly. I still am now! But for the sake of travelling, I endure it! So I’ll share with you about a food memory! I always look forward to Chinese New Year because my grandmother cooks one of her specialties, meatballs! Up until today, I’m blessed because I still get to enjoy them!

What’s the best/ worst part of your job?

The best part is work-life balance! I’m looking forward to travelling and working at the same time!
The worst part is that I am my own boss, so I have to hustle, but it’s still a blessing to be able to do so!

What’s your favourite food and beverage pairing?

Pizza and white wine!!!

What’s one of the funniest things you’ve seen behind the scenes?

The number of bloopers during video shoots! Most of them are really funny! Some instructors, including myself, tend to blank out during shoots. Even Livestream oops

The perfect day off would be…

… sitting by my green corner, listening to Lo-Fi music, and making suncatchers!

A day in the life of a yoga instructor is…

NOT as calming as you think. Haha.

What does Shelyne Wai you do for fun?

I make suncatchers as a hobby. So when I’m stressed out, I usually turn to my hobby.
