My Personal Experience

I visit Beauté Library in Mid-Valley, but there are several locations around the city. The centre is clean and compact. Treatment rooms are small but have all the space needed to have a shelf and hanger to store your clothes and belongings, a bed and the required machines for each therapy. Central air-conditioning makes the rooms chilly, but the treatment beds are covered in thick bed covers allowing me to snuggle right in. 

My therapist, Rachel, cleanses my face before the session and explains what to expect. She says in total to allow about an hour for the treatment – cleanse, Ultra 360 V-Define, and a mask. A cool gel is applied to help the hand nozzle of the machine glide over the skin. Short bursts of energy are targeted all over the face starting at the jaw line, moving towards smile lines, the cheeks, forehead, frown lines and around the corners and underneath the eyes.

I’m a nervous patient, wincing at every zap. Not because it’s particularly painful, but because I imagine all sorts of sci-fi complications in my head. The sensation is more discomfort than pain, lasting less than a second for each motion. It’s a cross between heat and numbness. When the Ultra 360 V-Define Treatment is complete, my face feels a little sore, similar to touching a bruise.

Rachel finishes with a cooling and hydrating mask. The slight tightness and pang I’d felt immediately after the session disappears with the mask. It’s left on for about 20 minutes, and once removed, I’m ready to face the world once again.

I leave Beauté Library looking refreshed and hydrated. There is no redness or signs that tell I’ve just had a facial treatment. They say results will be most evident in about two weeks, with the most significant results visible after two treatments. The Ultra 360 V-Define stimulates collagen and elastin production, which should lead to long-lasting effects.

So, here I am back again with an update two weeks later. Just looking in the mirror, it’s hard to tell that there’s a change but when I compare the before and after photos, I think my jawline in particular looks sharper and maybe my cheek also looks a little uplifted. What do you think?
