Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon’s flagship boulevard known for its opulent architecture and upscale boutiques, is close by, gifting visitors easy access to the city’s vibrant spirit.
Only 33 Rooms
With only a small number of guest rooms, Hotel Britania Art Deco provides an exclusive experience. The hotel’s 33 well-appointed rooms offer comfort and relaxation. The luxurious marble baths, cork floors, and carefully selected warm colour schemes provide a calming and welcoming atmosphere. The beds are firm and supportive and the shower is almost instantly hot and high-pressured. Additionally, the entire hotel is exceptionally clean – every surface literally gleams!
Thoughtful Extras
Hotel Britania Art Deco provides a selection of considerate amenities and services to improve visitors’ stays. Each room has Molton Brown products, adding a sense of luxury and in-room tea and coffee-making facilities, alongside a complimentary nightcap. A small breakfast buffet is available each morning, including coffee (both brewed and espresso pods), a range of pastries (including those famous egg tarts), cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, fruit and cereal. You can even indulge in a glass of bubbly to get the day started right.
In the late afternoon, the hotel offers guests a light tea with mouthwatering pastries from local bakers. Furthermore, those who believe Lisbon’s hills are not enough of a workout already can arrange to visit the fitness centre and pool of the hotel’s sister properties just around the block.
Physical amenities aside, the staff made for a memorable stay. Kind, gracious and so very helpful, we felt in the home (a very nice home) of an old friend. Special thanks to Larissa and Rodrigo for giving us the best suggestions on what to see, do and eat, and to the lovely Graça who made sure our coffee cups were never empty.
