Fadly Sujebto, Head Bartender, Cin Cin Singapore

The Yum List gets the lowdown on life behind the scenes in an interview with Fadly Sujebto, head bartender of Cin Cin Singapore.

What do you do and how did you get into the industry?

Being mischievous about alcohol.

What is the best part of your job?

The best part of the job is when I am able to create a connection with my guests through my creations and getting feedback from them to better myself.

What’s your favourite meal and cocktail in Cin Cin?

I am not biased so I would say that every cocktail on the menu is my favourite in its own unique way.

What’s your favourite gin?

This is a very tough question. It depends what I am working on or what’s my drinking mood for that day. Hahaha.

What’s one of the scariest or funniest things you’ve seen behind the scenes?

Staying up late at the bar alone doing paperwork hahaha.

The perfect day off would be…

… chilling with my loved ones.

A day in the life of a head bartender is…

… leading my team and striving towards the same goal – to be the best.

What do you do for fun?

Gaming.

What’s something you’d like guests to know about Cin Cin?

CIN CIN is a welcoming place for all curious tipplers. Be it if you are new to gin or a die-hard fan, we are happy to be at your service.

What’s your view on the bar scene in Singapore?

It has been growing vastly over the years with a lot of new bar concepts which keeps it interesting and dynamic.

What is your favourite thing about Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia?

Food. Ha ha ha.

What’s in store for you and Cin Cin in the upcoming months?

Catch us during the Singapore Cocktail Festival in May and we look forward to new gin creations every month!

You can also catch me in KL at Pahit this coming Thursday, April 19, 9 pm to 12 am with my tasty Bluecoat Gin cocktails. And then next month, CK Kho of Pahit will head over to my turf, Cin Cin, for his side of the Bartender Exchange Vol. 01!

Check out KL’s favourite gin bar, Pahit, here.
