With news that we have to wait a little longer to cross state borders, we turn to options for getaways within the city. In lieu of a beach vacation, fabulous pools are on my radar. Element Kuala Lumpur
The indoor saline pool at Element Kuala Lumpur is one of my top picks when considering the best hotel pools in Kuala Lumpur. Not only can it be accessed in any weather, but it’s also kept at a constant temperature and the reduction of chemicals with the saline system makes it gentler on the body. Strict SOPs mean numbers are limited, and I’ve been fortunate on every visit to have the entire pool to myself. It’s an absolute luxury. I’m sure you could arrange the same if you book off-peak times. The bottom tiled artwork is reflected in the mirror-ceiling making it one of the most eye-catching pools in the city.
EQ Kuala Lumpur – Best Hotel Pools Kuala Lumpur
Swimming in the clouds is the feeling I get when in the pool at Sanctum Wellness at EQ KL. The 25-metre long infinity pool with views of Kuala Lumpur’s four tallest towers is stunning. Not only is the pool a luxurious place to view but additional sensory input takes it to another level. Using a saltwater chlorinator, chemicals are reduced making a dip much softer on the skin. The temperature is a constant 28°C and… the first and only time I’ve seen it in Malaysia (not even in our worldly travels), is music underwater! Dunk your head below the surface and hear calming yet upbeat contemporary tunes as you glide. Additionally, the vitality pool adjacent to it, offers three different styles of hydrotherapy jets that pound muscles from a light stroke to a full massage. Heaven.
Le Meridien & Hilton Kuala Lumpur
Neighbour hotels, Le Meridien and Hilton Kuala Lumpur are the joint owners of the longest free-form pool in the city. Winding in lagoon-like fashion, it is edged with recliners and umbrellas, and well-kept landscaping. Pretty views of Lake Gardens catch the eye in the foreground with the city skyline as a backdrop. A slide, water fountains and a bubbling Jacuzzi turn it into a playground for all.
W Kuala Lumpur
W Kuala Lumpur‘s hotel pool wins the prize for best views of the Twin Towers. During the day it is a haven of wellness offering a place for relaxation and fitness classes. During the evenings it converts to a bar, WET Deck, with upbeat tunes and craft cocktails.
Spa Village Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur
What the pool at Spa Village at Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur lacks in size, it sure makes up for in privacy. Located within the spa grounds, the setting is intimate and limits the number of guests. There are both recliners by the pool and daybeds by a water feature. The best plan is to sign up for a spa treatment (or hotel stay) and book a time poolside for immediately after.

My girl loved swimming when she was little so whenever we travelled, I had to call the hotels first to make sure they had a pool!
The Aloft was my go-to place. Eternity pool, atmospheric and chilled out.
I like them all. But if I really have to choose, I would probably go for Element.
My go to is always Ritz Carlton as it’s the only one on this list in a great location
