Reasons to visit Cafe Limóne: European-inspired setting; Western-Asian fusion food; beautiful and delicious cakes; a good cup of coffee, mocktails, and decadent hot cocoa. 

Capitano Caffe

Reasons to visit Capitano Caffe: the friendly Chef Emil who’s ready to give you heartwarming stories of food, his childhood in Italy and things he learned from his nonna; amiable staff, really gratifying pasta, heavenly focaccia and luscious desserts (they’re very known for their tiramisu).

Momaku X Baristart

Reasons to visit Momaku x Baristart Coffee Malaysia, BSC: rich coffee presented with an artistic flare, mouthwatering desserts, and a great array of savoury options. Plus, a friendly manager with equally welcoming staff and a pleasant atmosphere. 

Cafe Du Jour

Reasons to visit Café Du Jour: warm and cordial staff, a bubbly head chef, a phenomenal alfresco area, a great all-around ambience with pleasing aesthetics and loads of greenery, fresh, wholesome food that comes in large portions, and you must try the delectable homemade desserts.

The Bread Bar

Reasons to visit The Bread Bar TTDI: excellent bread, unique but comforting hot foods with a splash of pizzazz, good coffee, a sleek and modern setting, and mouthwatering pastries you’ll keep returning for. 

Lisettes’ Mont Kiara

Reasons to visit Lisette’s Mont Kiara: Power Bowl; Black Rice Nasi Lemak; a great place to park yourself at for a couple of hours while waiting for traffic to subside; while we didn’t get to explore the full range of pastries and dessert pies available, they definitely merit trips back to the cafe, especially if your goal in life is to conquer every patisserie or bakery in town.

Yellow Brick Road at The Five

Reasons to visit Yellow Brick Road: My faves: Of course, I have to say the sweet dishes (because of my fat inner child) win. The Very Berry French Toast and the Mango Mochi stole my heart. However, I’d love to come back and try the rest of their menu because YBR has a superior reputation for breakfast foods and, moreover, great pancake variations. Picture-perfect atmosphere, friendly servers, delicious food and an awesome chocolate drink!

VCR Ritchie

Reasons to visit VCR Ritchie: great coffee, reliable and consistent food, handmade pasta, relaxed setting off-the-beaten-path; knowledgeable and affable service.

Underwood Bakers

Reasons to visit Underwood Bakers Café & Restaurant: coffee to warm the heart of any homesick expat, along with flavour combinations that make breakfast interesting again. A bright and welcoming location that feels like a well-kept secret until you realize all the incredible pastries have sold out in record time. Monica enjoyed the diversity of the coffee menu, Rich was unusually silent as he savoured the Eggy Brioche Toast, and Matt will tell anyone who’ll listen about just how great roasted lettuce can be.

Ra.Ft

Reasons to visit Ra-ft: Ra-Ft Tiramisu; reasonably priced and familiar Italian fare; good vibe team, a place that respects its staff and treats all with care and humanity; comfortable space for work with plenty of food to last through the day; did I mention the Ra-Ft Tiramisu?
