Number Ones on The Yum List

As we look back over 2015, we consider ourselves very fortunate for our health, good friends and many opportunities gifted to us for travel and culinary exploration. Many of the places we’ve enjoyed this year not only made it to The Yum List, but were recognised internationally as the best in their field. Here we recall some of the World’s Number Ones covered by our team. (Please note, the accolades are given by numerous organisations, too many to list here. If a spot interests you, click on the title link to find out more.)

  1. Pretty impressive list.
Is the Dwarika’s Hotel in Kathmandu still operative?
Friends of mine here – 3 Nepalese on 457A visas were
traumatised when the earthquake hit – fortunately all their
families survived – Ajay the youngest of the trio is presently
    visiting his family in Kathmandu.

I would add the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel Resort and Spa, Bali.
    The Oriental in Bangkok.
The Grand Sofitel Central at Hua Hin, Thailand – this may have a
new name but is the oldest resort hotel in Thailand and is a “MUST”
to visit – charm just oozes.
Oh you and Junior do live a charmed life – as I AGAIN go Martian GREEN!
    El Colin Cordobes

  2. Such a gorgeous place, Monica! I would want to stay there a long time and explore everything! 🙂

  3. Interesting, that coffee machine.

  4. You have been travelling a lot in 2015, more to come ?

  5. It’s great to reflect back on such gifted opportunities for travel and culinary escapades…..and be thankful. I look forward to reading more explorations in 2016 from The Yum List! 🙂 Happy New Year, Monica and to all at The Yum List! 🙂

  6. A lot of “bests”. It’s always a pleasure to read about your culinary and other adventures. Have a great New Year!

  7. I think you need to do a Number Last list too 😉
So we can all avoid the terrible stuff…

  8. A great year full of blessings! Lovely places you have visited!
